Using Sweetwell Fields
  • Use of Sweetwell Fields is by appointment only.
  • Sweetwell Fields has both a general car park and secure parking within the field.
  • Leeds must be used when parking in the general car park.
  • Dogs should not be taken out of the car until the previous occupant has left.
  • The entry code for the secure parking area and field will be provided by email 1 hour before your booked walk.
  • Only enter the secure parking area when it is empty and the field is unoccupied.
  • If needed, drive into the secure parking area, shutting the gate behind you before letting your dog out of the car.
  • When entering the enclosure/field make sure the “occupied” sign is showing.
  • Enjoy a relaxing walk with your dog.
  • Clean up after your dogs with compostable bags; you can use the bin provided or take the bags home with you.
  • We would ask customers to pick up any poo accidentally left by previous users so that others will do the same for poo you are unable to locate! This will ensure that the field is as pleasant to use as possible for everyone.
  • Clean your dog using the cleaning station if required. If you remove the hose attachment, please reattach it before leaving the field.
  • If you are using the secure parking area; once your dog is back in the car, exit the enclosure, close and lock the gate and change the sign to “unoccupied”.
  • If you are using the general car park exit the field, close and lock the gate and change the sign to “unoccupied”.
  • As appointments are back to back, please leave Sweetwell fields before the end of your time slot so that others may start their session.
Members Etiquette
  • Please do not exercise your dog off lead outside of the Sweetwell Fields Secure Dog Walking area.
  • If sharing your booking with friends, please park sensibly with no more than 3 cars in the general car park and/or 1 car in the secure parking area.
  • Please stay inside your vehicle(s) with your dog(s) while waiting for access to Sweetwell Fields as some dogs using the fields may have issues with other dogs.
  • Please be aware that the field and wood may be muddy, particularly during the winter months so ensure that you wear appropriate footwear.
  • Please be aware that the field is not lit during periods of darkness so a torch and extra care in the field, especially the wooded area is advised.
  • Please do not climb on the fencing or gates.
  • Please refill any holes dug during use before you leave and report this to us by email for safety and security reasons.
  • Choke chains, prong collars and electronic devices are not allowed.
  • Harsh handling of dogs; either verbal or physical is not allowed.
  • Never leave dogs unattended in the field and not dogs to be left in vehicles during hot weather.
  • Clean up after your dogs with compostable bags; you can use the bin provided or take the bags home with you.
  • Please take your litter home with you.
  • ANY USER FAILING TO ADHERE TO THE RULES COULD BE RESTRICTED FROM FUTURE USE.
